Troubleshooting HubSpot re-connection issue

This guide helps you resolve the error "Couldn't complete the connection Authorization failed because there is a mismatch between the scopes in the install URL and the app's configured scopes. Please contact the app developer" when reconnecting HubSpot to your Leadmonk app.


Cause

This error occurs due to a permission mismatch between what HubSpot tries to access in Leadmonk and what Leadmonk's app configuration allows. This can happen if Leadmonk's app permissions have changed since you first connected it to HubSpot.



Solution

Step 1: Uninstall Leadmonk App in HubSpot CRM

  • Go to Settings > Integrations > Connected Apps in HubSpot.
  • Locate the Leadmonk app.
  • Click Uninstall.



Step 2: Reconnect HubSpot CRM in Leadmonk

  • Go to Settings > Integrations > Sales & CRM in Leadmonk.
  • Look for HubSpot here and click "Configure" here.
  • Click "Connect".


Uninstalling the Leadmonk integration removes the old permission configuration. Reconnecting establishes a fresh connection with the updated permissions from Leadmonk.
